Good Morning

you know that I do not like to badger you with offers but I just could not let this one go.

If you have tried to build your list you know what a hard slog it is, either trying giveaways or forever clicking on other peoples adverts to gain a few points to allow you to send out your own adverts that contacts may or may not click.

Well as you know I am a member of Chris Farrells membership and he is just about to start a daily video on Creating Traffic. Next week in fact (the week of january 25th).

He is going to set up a brand new squeeze page and checking to see how many signups he receives, using the techniques he will outline in the videos. To members it is free but he has told me that he is thinking of selling it at a later date for about $97

The 14 day trial is still only $4.95. After that it goes up but you can always leave after the 14 days, I know people who have left and I also know people who have stayed..

So for $4.95 you can access all the goodies on the site (literally hundreds of training videos) and have access to his new Traffic Course.

I cannot stress this enough - if you are serious about setting up a web business then this has to a no brainer.

So I urge you to click on the link below and have a look

http://www.ujoinus.co.uk/recommends

kind regards

to your success

A friend showed it to me. So if you can’t afford to buy Camtasia Studio or equivalent software then here is a simple way to create a video of your website and load onto youtube or use it on your website
Once you have your website online, bring it up on your pc or laptop. Mount a video camera on a tripod and aim it at the monitor (zoom in enough to only show the website) and simply videotape your website.
Scroll down slowly, of course, slow enough so people can read everything.
Then upload it to youtube.

The best ideas are the simple ones
have a great day

Hi there

we are snowed in on the South Coast of England, two TV’s broken this year so I thought I would use the time to find some useful tips for web users

Most people know how to view the source code of a webpage by right clicking and choosing view page source. You should only do this to pick up tips on how someone has created a particular look in their website.
However some people unscrupulously use this feature to steal things. e.g. You may have an order page that sends a user to your download page to receive an ebook that they have paid for. If you can right click and view the page source you can see where the ebook is located and download without paying. Very wrong.
Nothing is foolproof but you could add this code to your html program and disable the right mouse click.

<body class=”body” oncontextmenu=”return false;”>

Enter in the body tag
Hope you find this useful
See You
Tony

There are about 10,000 different hybrids to choose from and the colours range from white through to orange, red, blue, purple and even a deep purple bordering on black. In fact yellow is the only one missing. The only other thing missing with fuchsias is scent. They have no perfume.

The flower sizes range from 1cm. To 10cm.. The blooms vary from single, semi double, double and tubular.

They can be trained as bushes, standards, trailers and even bonsai.

In Ireland and Scotland hedgerows made up of fuchsias can be seen along the roads.

Fuchsias are one of the easiest flowers to propagate. To produce a true cultivar cuttings are used. Seeds don’t yield a true hybrid the result is usually weaker and unpredictable so they are rarely used.

The tip of a growing plant is taken (I prefer the tip to be about half an inch long) and planted in a mixture of peat and gravel in a 2 inch pot. In about 14 days the plant will have taken as shown by the colour of the leaf. As the pot is filled with roots the plant is potted on into larger sized pots, depending on what you wish to do with the plant. This is dictated by the plant, so it is important to know your plants as they will lend themselves to different types of growth. Some are very lax in growth and make good trailers whilst others are inclined to be tall and strong and lend themselves to being trained into standards.

If you intend to just grow the fuchsia on as a bush then every couple of leaves just pinch out the tip this will then produce two more stems from the pinch out. So you can see that we will progress from 1 to 2 to 4 stems and so on. Some plants tend to have smaller distances between the leaves and you can get a very tight looking plant.

To grow into a standard you will pinch out all the side shoots leaving the top 3 or 4 , as the plant grows you pinch out side shoots always leaving the top 3 or 4 to produce the head. The reason we leave the top 3 or 4 is that if we lose the top growing tip by accident or insects eating it we will always have a standard plant. In other words you will end up with a bush on stem. The size of the stem is dictated by you.

To grow as trailers you let the plant grow and trail.

I usually take my cuttings in the spring, March or April, and my plant has grown and flowered by late July or August. Some growers take cuttings later in the year and grow over two years.

At the end of the season I cut back my potted fuchsias to 2 or 3 branches and cover with fleece storing them in a cool room. They can be dampened slightly from time to time, just enough to keep the wood from becoming brittle. In the spring I repot them and feed them and soon they will be producing cuttings to increase my stock.

Membership Sites are springing up all over the internet and range from free to join to 20 or 30 dollars a month…

It can be said that Membership Sites are scamming you because they ask you to pay for information that is supposedly freely available on the internet with a little bit of research. However consider the true cost of finding that information in time and effort. Have you already spent hundreds of dollars on courses and reports. Belonging to a Membership Site can be likened to belonging to a private library or a DVD rental shop where the information is all in one place.

For the owners Membership sites are a great way to generate residual income and provided they add value to the site by adding new products and services, introducing new tutorials and facilities there isn’t a great deal of effort required on their part . The content might be e Books, scripts, articles, graphics, Video Tutorials - whatever you want Once you have members in your membership site it is so much easier to sell them other products because you have built a relationship with them by offering them products every month for a minimum monthly subscription. Simply put, a database of loyal members paying you monthly is the key to greater online profits.

For the member there are several reasons for joining a Membership site

1.Membership Sites are one of the best ways to increase your knowledge on almost any subject or to learn new skills. Members can even learn to set up a business by gaining valuable information from those who are already earning a living doing something that they are willing to teach others.

2.Memberships Sites are useful in promoting friendships of like minded individuals who may not otherwise have recognised each others existence.

3.People are finally getting comfortable with the fact that they may have to pay a few dollars for specific, valuable information. The cost of membership means that members are serious and time wasters are few or non existent.

Certainly there are Membership Sites on the internet that are badly put together and in truth, a waste of money. However a good Membership Site that is well structured and encourages the members to take an active interest in the site, helping other members to increase their knowledge, can be a source of encouragement to the newcomer and a sense of satisfaction to the more knowledgeable member.

It is important that you check out thoroughly any membership site you are thinking of joining but I would suggest that if you find a good one you will enjoy many months of fruitful experience.

Can HTML Programming be useful for the average web designer?

As more and more people access the Internet and want to set up websites so the plethora of programs and freebies increases to help the user to quickly set up a Web Page, so is there any real reason for users to learn how to program using HTML?

In this article we are going to look at three of the reasons given as to why learning HTML is a waste of time.

1. There are hundreds of Free Templates available on the internet so that one off websites can be produced quickly and easily.

2. The cost of Web Design Software is exorbitant, running into hundreds of pounds.

3. The learning curve is so steep it takes too long too learn enough to be able to produce a web page.

Let us look at these objections individually.

1. Whilst it is true to say that there are literally hundreds of free templates this is their disadvantage. The fact that there are so many means that most of the websites will look identical and thereby reduce their uniqueness. Search engines will not look favorably on too many sites that look similar.

To be able to use basic HTML programming techniques to change the layout of the page and update colors and images will make your site stand out from all the others using the same template.

A very basic knowledge of HTML will allow you to quickly and easily put your own brand on your pages.

2. It is true that the more professional web design tools are expensive and that if the user is a full time web designer it would make sense to own the more expensive software but for the occasional user there are some very good FREE packages that are quite capable of producing a well designed web page. One of the better free WYSIWYG editors is Kompozer which also has FTP built in, making it easier and quicker to edit web pages and upload them to your website.

3. If we are only going to make minor changes to our websites the learning curve is markedly reduced in time and effort. It will also have the added benefit that if you take to HTML Programming you will have a good basic introduction.

So we see that having a basic knowledge of HTML will help you to brand your websites as your own. From here it would be an easy step to gain a basic knowledge of PHP, CSS and MySQL.. There are several websites where you can obtain free tutorials in all aspects of computer programming.

Now that you have learned something about basic HTML programming go to http://www.reallybasic.com where you can learn basic HTML, PHP, CSS and MySQL

Over recent years there has been a large debate on the cost of Software and whether once purchased the user is trapped into a spiral of upgrading software with the added costs involved.

I recently carried out an appraisal of the main software packages I use and the cost of that software. Bearing in mind that a great deal of the software was purchased several years ago, when there were no other alternatives. However because the software was originally purchased several years ago there has been in most instances several upgrades purchased during the following years.

If you had decided to set up a web business selling eBooks created from information obtained from the Internet then let us look at an example of the software required to download that information, process it and then upload the eBooks onto your website.

After downloading the files (If you bought them) you would need to download the packages.
Unzip them. e.g. Winzip
Edit the source code. e.g. Microsoft Office
Convert to PDF. e.g. Adobe Acrobat
Edit the images. e.g. Photoshop
Create online Sales/Download pages e.g. Dreamweaver
Create Video e.g. Camtasia Studio
Upload the files to your website e.g. AceFTP

Those examples are the software packages that I own and would use and the cost runs into thousands of dollars. However, unless you are heavily into video, graphics or PDF Creation then you can carry out all of the above tasks for peanuts.

Zipping and Unzipping Files using jZip (cost Zero).
Editing the source code and creating PDF Files can be carried out using OpenOffice (cost Zero) Editing the images can be carried out using Gimp (cost Zero).
Creating HTML pages using Kompozer (cost Zero)
Creating videos can be carried out by using a much reduced cost CamstudioPro
Uploading Files can be carried out by Kompozer (cost Zero)
Camstudio is available for Free but I would recommend CamstudioPro at the present time.

So for general use there is nothing wrong with the software itemised. Certainly I have used the free or cheaper packages and in most respects they have performed well enough to allow me to function.
Using free or cheap alternatives would free up capital to purchase professional software if you were concentrating on any particular area e.g. Video Production or Image manipulation. In this case then I would recommend that you purchased the full professional package.

This would generally give you more support as well as a robust, stable product.

To see other items by the author go to http://www.reallybasic.com where you can learn basic HTML, PHP, CSS and MySQL Programming and the use of software both bought and free.

Usually we sell something to a customer because that customer needs that item and we can provide it. It is a well worn law of salesmanship that we cannot sell something the customer doesn’t require unless we resort to bullying tactics and plain cheating.

The customer has a need for a solution at a particular point in time, if we are there at that point in time and offer that solution then the customer will buy if the price is right. It is therefore important to know what the customer requires so that we can provide it. If the customer is on your list then they may suddenly require something that you offered weeks ago and if they trust you they will go looking for it.

In list building we use free gifts to entice the user to join our list but it is imperative that the gift is of value and in keeping with the site. We then need to follow up by providing all that we promised on our opt in page.

List building is critical to growing your online business. The more people you are in contact with personally, the more influence you will have and the greater your sales will be. Therefore it is important to help the user get to know you, to like you, and to trust you as an expert and as a person of integrity.

You should treat your prospective customers as your friends and do not bombard them with sales adverts. If you are so excited about a product that you have seen and now use then tell your list by all means, but I would recommend that you only ever sell something that you yourself have used. Far better to create your own product in keeping with your lists aims.

Exactly as in the offline business world it is a slow ongoing process. It has often been said that one bad word can ruin years of painstaking effort.

It takes consistent actions over a long period of time to achieve a high quality list of subscribers no matter what you may have been told to the contrary. We are talking about a quality list, not just a list of numbers, this is of paramount importance to your success.
