The UK has had a fall of snow and the country is at a stand still. In days gone by people would have cleaned their pavements and roads and then gone to work instead of taboganning on a free holiday.

On a holiday to Arizona a few years ago I was caught in my shorts and t-shirt in the ‘first snow flurries of winter’ in the White Mountains, having to be rescued from 6 foot snow drifts. Well that’s another story.
