Designing a HomePage

I was wondering what type of WebPage we would create together to start on our Website. After a little soulsearching I thought that it would be useful to look at designing a HomePage. Everytime we log into our browser we are met with a Google Page or some other commercial page so  I decided to setup a page that would be useful to the user.
