Creating our first WebPage

While I was laid low with ‘Man Flu’ I gave some thought to the type of website we should create and I thought that there were plenty of examples of websites on the Internet and we should look at something that was going to be useful.

Remembering that a webpage can easily be created using HTML I thought that it would be useful to create a page that you can keep on your desktop and assign it as your Homepage similar to the one shown here:-

The aim is to have at your fingertips all the important information you need when you are browsing.
As you can see my design is one of a table within another table, consisting of three columns and eight rows. The headings are the groups that are important to me, Favourites, Utilities, WebSites and Blogs. I then added a TODO category. As you can see the layout is entirely upto you and can be quite flexible so give it some thought and in the next post we will start to set your site up from scratch.
